Mâ nîn, The Dragon Hand Puppet
$6.50
I was about my morning walk in the wood, when I came upon a curious fellow walking in circles muttering something. With each loop around, it would stop, look behind itself, sigh deeply, and begin its trek again. I could not make out what it was saying, but I did know I was getting dizzy just watching its circular walk to nowhere. I stepped out into the clearing.
“Might I be of assistance, my little fellow?”
Startled, it looked up and darted under a bush.
“So, you can walk in a straight line! Might I ask what you were doing?”
It poked its snout out from under the bush and sniffed the air. After a moment, it slowly emerged from its hiding place. It was the smallest dragon I had ever seen.
“Come closer, my friend. I will not hurt you.”
It stared at me for a bit. It looked me over. It sniffed in my direction. I guess I didn’t smell too bad, so it came closer.

This is such a charming, adorable pattern. The story at the beginning the pattern is tragic and triumphant, much like life. I can’t wait to make a whole hoard of these little friends!
