Albie and Leif the Pumpkin Pop-up Gnomes

$6.00

As a professor of Thaumaturgic Cucurbita Pepo once told me, never neglect to knock on your winter squashes. So, when you go waltzing through the pumpkin patches this fall, don’t forget that it’s always polite to knock – three short raps should do it – before you pick. Because who knows what’s living in that pumpkin? Gnomes are known to hibernate in odd places. Albie and Leif are partial to hibernating in pumpkins because it doubles as a house and dinner!

Oh. I should mention, if your prize pumpkin suddenly starts wiggling its leaves at you in a rather suggestive way and begins rolling down the hill with a come-hither bounce, do not pursue it! I repeat. DO NOT PURSUE. Pumpkins follow roots deep in the earth, which lead to a tangle of embroidery of other worlds. And while a gnome might not mind being whisked off to another time or place, humans are known to be a rather maladjusted species.
